I have bought for tens of thousands of bucks from them over the years, and they've given me no reason to stop.

Just one example is that unlike most companies, especially big ones, they bend over backwards to give extra-extra good service. If somebody breaks the screen of his Kindle, as like as not they'll just send him a new one straight away.Eolake Stobblehousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07126147415891586345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16327517.post-27273207378964969542011-10-01T05:03:21.343+00:002011-10-01T05:03:21.343+00:00I have to tip my cap to Amazon, because they have ...I have to tip my cap to Amazon, because they have shown that they can change direction and adapt to what is going on around them. I tend to overlook Amazon's achievements because I'm a big fan of Apple, who are the best at adapting and changing. But Amazon is a strong second place, with most other companies tied for 50th place! :-)

Where I think Amazon can improve is in managing my attention. There is a lot of clutter on their web pages. They do seem to be getting better about this though.

There is also a lot of encouragement to buy more that what I'm looking for. Buying one thing from them leaves me feeling like I have disappointed them because I didn't buy three things.Brucenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16327517.post-41840668668039073002011-09-29T21:42:09.404+00:002011-09-29T21:42:09.404+00:00Okay, no worries. :-)Okay, no worries. :-)Eolake Stobblehousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07126147415891586345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16327517.post-48654097320424102622011-09-29T21:17:01.508+00:002011-09-29T21:17:01.508+00:00It might just be a case of misunderstand, but I...It might just be a case of misunderstand, but I've removed the comments anyway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16327517.post-38244300574696637732011-09-29T19:13:48.639+00:002011-09-29T19:13:48.639+00:00(Dave, I think your comments today are a bit harsh...(Dave, I think your comments today are a bit harsh in tone. Even if you disagree with me, there's no need for nasty personal comments. You're normally not like this.)

You're right, it may well take more time than it feels like to me. Overall, certainly more than a couple of years.

On the other hand, look at the music industry.
