I would not use the second shot of you as your "About Me" pic, the smile is too forced.

The third picture is the best, not because you are younger in it, but because it was taken by someone else. When you take a picture of yourself, your face does not respond. When someone else takes the shot, your face responds and lights up. A good portrait photographer will get a good picture of you. Laurie Jeffery did.

You often show photos of yourself on the blog, but it seems you don't actually enjoy being photographed – you look very camera shy. You are camera shy probably because you believe yourself to be different, special, or not quite normal, as you say in a different post. And yes, anyone who spends their working day studying photos of gorgeous nude women must be eccentric, but you are certainly one lucky dude, man! The best description of you is that you are Bohemian. Maybe you are the Milan Kundera for the 21st century.Coilin MacLochlainnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16327517.post-10388353186569254472011-01-14T22:09:36.830+00:002011-01-14T22:09:36.830+00:00Yes, that top one looks very much better. ...Thanks to all.

Neeraj, I agree on both counts.

TCG, Yep, it was evening light, and a "portrait", so I changed from the usual standard zoom to my 50mm F:1.4 lens, and this is a really great lens, and surprisingly compact. (Although not as cheap as a 1/8 lens usually is.) On a not-full-frame sensor, it has a great focal length for photographing people, and good bokeh (background blur).Eolake Stobblehousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07126147415891586345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16327517.post-13889451866384382092011-01-14T11:30:52.935+00:002011-01-14T11:30:52.935+00:00Thanks for the pictures ... in my view the newer o...Thanks for the pictures ... in my view the newer ones show more of personal aspects ;-)

(And I'm sure there are many more aspects of the personal universe ;-))neerajnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16327517.post-83148728149154391872011-01-14T09:08:37.895+00:002011-01-14T09:08:37.895+00:00I really, like number two!
